Well, the first time I ever dosed it was too intense so my friend locked me in her room for awhile and played the whole terrapin album. I didn't open my eyes until it was over. I felt like I took a 5 hour journey into another world. It was one of the coolest and most surreal moments I've ever experienced and I only wish I had words to describe it. Terrapin has a special place in my heart as a result. I can close my eyes sometimes and still go back to that moment, and it really is a wonderful thing.

Also, watching the animated intro to the GD movie on acid was one of the coolest things I've ever seen. That whole sequence just confuses me when I'm sober. When I watched it on acid, it just makes so much sense. I really can't explain it but if anyone else has seen it while tripping I'm sure they'll understand.

I haven't taken any hallucinogens in quite some time but I certainly did my fair share. However, LSD has never really influenced my opinion on any music. I've always been able to fully appreciate the music without any chemicals. That doesn't mean certain substances, mainly pot & acid/shrooms, don't make music more enjoyable. But you really don't need them to appreciate the music.

edit: thinking about this again, i realized there are certain elements of songs like DS, TOO, and PITB, that i might not appreciate as much today if i had never experimented with hallucinogens. it's hard to say, because i didn't listen to the GD very long before i got into the whole mind expansion thing. even though i don't use these substances anymore, i believe they probably did help me appreciate some of the music.
